For some reason, Maxis brightened the rail textures for the zoom levels 1 to 4, maybe because they would have looked too dark otherwise. However, all known texture generators for SimCity 4 don't apply this brightness change, so the processed textures are darker for the zoom levels 1 to 4. This mod provides a better look for the rail textures in SimCity 4 by making the textures for those zoom levels darker as well, like it is the case with all rail textures that are contained in the Network Addon Mod or the various base and overlay textures that are available for lots. From now on, the color shift will be eliminated.Apart from that, this download also contains several mods that replace the ugly brown texture below the rails with grass textures, according to the wealth level of the adjacent lots. Other than Swamper77's mod that simply removes the brown texture entirely, this mod will keep the dirt next to agricultural and landfill zones. If you wish, you can also replace the grass with a concrete texture in medium and high density residential and commercial zones, again according to the wealth level of the adjacent lots.- SFBT_Rail Textures Mod_Darker Textures.dat - Makes the Maxis rail textures for the zoom levels 1 to 4 darker, in order to adapt them to the textures from the NAM, or custom base and overlay textures like the ones by NorthCountryDude or other texture artists.
- SFBT_Rail Textures Mod_Wealth Textures_Grass_LD.dat - Changes the brown texture below the rails in low density RCI zones to a grass texture.
- SFBT_Rail Textures Mod_Wealth Textures_Grass_MD_HD.dat - Changes the brown texture below the rails in medium and high density residential and commercial zones to a grass texture.- or -

The last two files contain the same data, only one can be installed at a time.This download is compatible with all versions of SimCity. The mod is not compatible with other rail texture mods, such as Swamper77's dirt removal mod, or PEG's Alternate Railway Mod.
